Sener opens an office in Santander

05/06/2023

It is a high-performance technology center for the design and development of electronic and radiofrequency components and subsystems for space and defence antennas.

Sener Group has opened a branch in Santander, specifically in the Technology Development Center of the University of Cantabria (CDTUC). The office will be part of the Group’s Aerospace and Defence department and will focus on the design and development of electronic and radiofrequency components and subsystems for integration into mixed active pointing (mechanical and/or electronic) communications and radiometric systems.

The Santander office will start its activity in May. It will have room for a staff of some 20 professionals, who will join the current and future projects in Space and Defence. Sener also expects to expand its network of local suppliers and partners so it can exert a pull effect on Cantabrian industry.

Sener group has experienced significant growth in Aerospace and Defence, a highly qualified sector which requires the addition of personnel, especially in the communications area. Many of the best candidates are Cantabrian, educated at the University of Cantabria, an entity with which Sener has set up partnership agreements, since it expects the employees assigned to the new office to come from Santander.
