Sener Sustainability Report
At Sener, we view sustainability in a broad sense, in line with best ESG (Environment, Society and Governance) practices and criteria, which have now become as necessary as they are mandatory in corporate environmentsCompanies must be actors for change and transformation, boosting a fairer and more solidary world for upcoming generations. Due to this belief, at Sener we have put different actions into effect, gathered in this first sustainability report.
At Sener, we have always pursued as our ultimate goal to achieve a more sustainable society by being involved in the vision and conceptualization of the engineering designs on which it works for its customers, as well as in its commitment to providing sustainable mobility alternatives and access to renewable energies through the design, construction and start-up of renewable energy plants.
Our sustainability strategy is based on three solid pillars that contribute in equal measure to our vision and ambition in this field, specifically:
For each of these three blocks, we have developed a series of goals, commitments and actions, and we have defined indicators that will allow us to properly measure their trends.
We have a Sustainability Director who is responsible for directing and coordinating the efforts of businesses and the strategic plan to meet the goals defined for the three main blocks that underpin sustainability.
Sustainability management reports on periodically to the Group’s Management Committee and every six months to the Board of Directors.
Climate change is one of the greatest global challenges, with direct implications for sustainable development, energy security, and business competitiveness.
At Sener, we take responsibility for contributing to climate mitigation and adaptation through innovative technological and engineering solutions that drive the transition toward a carbon-neutral economy, both in customer projects and in our own internal operations and processes.
This Policy aims to establish the sustainability principles that should guide the responsible behaviour and management of the goods and services purchased by Sener, including capital goods, in keeping with our strategy and purpose.
This Policy establishes the reference framework guiding Sener’s actions in these areas, promoting their integration into corporate culture, decision-making processes, and daily operations. It serves as a framework document and is complemented by specific policies and codes of conduct developed in accordance with local laws or requirements in the countries where Sener operates, always in alignment with the general guidelines defined here.
This Statement describes the measures taken by the Sener Group to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in its operations and supply chain.
In 2025, Sener’s Board of Directors approved the ESG targets for 2027, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability through specific and measurable goals across Environmental, Social and Governance matters. These targets enable us to take an integrated approach to managing our impacts, creating value for our stakeholders and strengthening a culture of good governance.
As part of this commitment, we have developed our Emissions Reduction Plan, aligned with the goal of limiting global warming to 1.5°C and prepared in compliance with Royal Decree 214/2025. The Plan sets out our roadmap for reducing emissions and contributing to the transition towards a more sustainable energy model.
