We are working to accelerate the competitiveness of hydrogen generation from 100% renewable energy with zero CO2 emissions. It is an essential energy vector towards the energy transition, as stated in the Renewable Hydrogen Roadmap in Spain and the European Green Deal.
Our projects are geared towards the market with applications in refineries, the chemical industry or green ammonia projects, mobility, balancing the electricity transmission grid through the large-scale roll-out of renewable fuels and eco-fuels.
We lead hydrogen projects in Europe, where we provide green hydrogen to industry, transport and power and gas companies. We develop and manufacture electrolyzers with state-of-the-art technology, engage throughout every stage of the value chain and drive projects until they are brought to life.
We collaborate with and facilitate the entry of new stakeholders who share our vision: local stakeholders, technology centres, SMEs, institutions and potential partners and clients.
We foster new offshore wind projects calling on the extensive offshore wind resource that is the sea. To do so, we draw on our one-of-a-kind experience in the fields of offshore wind energy and marine engineering. We go to great lengths to develop the most innovative and efficient solutions that we also invest in, as is the case with Parc Tramuntana.
Through strategic alliances with local developers that we ourselves drive, we support and accelerate new opportunities to develop fundable, ready-to-build offshore wind projects. This is our way of ensuring the expected results and achieving project success.
We also use water resources to generate manageable clean energy by fostering pumped-storage hydropower projects.
SENER’s experience in infrastructure, energy and marine engineering means we can put at SRI service all the Group’s extensive technical capacity to develop these types of opportunities and their solutions.
At SRI, we’ve participated in 29 manageable thermosolar projects with more than 2,000 MW installed. Our experience includes the development, construction and more than 10 years of know-how acquired by running such plants.
We also invest in and develop thermosolar projects that are hybridized with other renewable technologies, in particular photovoltaic. Of all the manageable solar resource solutions, photovoltaic is one of the most efficient, as can be seen in the Solgest park (Sevilla).
We drive forward and design the solar or storage plant in line with the final application, where we provide fully integrated and flexible solutions in accordance with each project’s business model. We cover complementary services to the grid, the creation of microgrids, self-consumption, as well as optimize the benefits of the installations.
We drive battery storage projects as part of the solution to site-specific grid needs and, through our energy management system (EMS), we make the most efficient use of energy; technically and economically alike.
As part of our commitment to sustainability, we identify solutions that foster the shift towards a circular economy, a model that extends the life of resources while cutting down on waste.
