The antenna provided by Sener will allow the monitoring and transmission of data from Ariane 6 to ground stations during the flight, including critical information about the status of the launcher’s systems, sensors, and subsystems.
The engineering and technology industrial group Sener has supplied a telemetry antenna for the modular and versatile European launcher Ariane 6, which lifted off on 9 July from French Guiana. The telemetry antenna provided by Sener will enable the monitoring and transmission of data from Ariane 6 to ground stations during the flight. This includes critical information about the status of the launcher’s systems, sensors, and subsystems.
This allows for control and communication between the rocket and ground teams, enabling the tracking and localisation of Ariane 6 during its various flight phases, and potentially resolving any issues by the technical teams on the ground, thus helping to ensure the success of the space mission.
Sener’s participation is based on its experience in the design and manufacture of antennas and active and passive radiofrequency equipment for the main satellite manufacturers and space agencies, applied in navigation, telecommunications, exploration, and Earth observation. The company has several decades of experience in engineering applied to the field of space communications. Since its inception, it has provided more than 10,000 pieces of equipment and subsystems onboard 1,400 satellites in LEO, GEO, MEO orbits, and for launchers, accumulating extensive flight experience, both in payload and TTC (telemetry and telecommand).
