Sener introduces the AI Lab, an innovation and excellence team for the improvement and development of solutions and processes based on artificial intelligence

The engineering and technology group Sener has introduced the AI Lab, an innovation and excellence team for the improvement and development of solutions and processes based on artificial intelligence. The objective of the AI Lab, formed by professionals from all areas of Sener’s activity, is to gather the group’s knowledge and experience of diverse and multidisciplinary profiles for the creation of disruptive business solutions.

This way, Sener’s artificial intelligence experts will collaborate with all areas of the company, both technical and different lines of business, as well as other transversal areas. This collaboration will make it possible to identify opportunities, develop prototypes and carry out projects that will have a direct application in the projects and solutions developed by Sener, promoting its business excellence through artificial intelligence.

Among the specific areas in which the AI Lab will act are the optimization of processes to help identify more efficient ways of working and automate tasks with lower added value, allowing Sener people to have more time and resources for more strategic activities; the creation of new personalized tools that will improve the efficiency and satisfaction of Sener’s customers; constant innovation; and sustainable growth, promoting an ethical, transparent, safe growth model in accordance with current regulations.

Meeting the AI Lab

The AI Lab is a multidisciplinary work team, made up of more than 20 professionals from all areas of Sener’s activity. Since the launch of the initiative, nearly 300 Sener professionals have shown interest in joining it, which demonstrates the commitment of its people to innovation and its application in business. This network of almost 300 volunteers (The “AI Lab Friends”) will help the development of the initiative, especially in pilot projects, providing support to the leader of the AI Lab, the central or core team and the work team.

Daniel Martínez, coordinator of the navigation and control department in Aerospace and Defence at Sener and leader of the AI Lab, highlights: “in a constantly evolving market, the ability to innovate is critical. The AI Lab is our proposal to the challenge and opportunities that artificial intelligence poses, a field in which we have contributed and proposed successful solutions and that we now promote, promoting a collaborative model that will take advantage of the knowledge and talent of the people who make up Sener.”
