Carlos Martínez de Bujo has been appointed Corporate Security Director of the Sener Group. Carlos Martínez de Bujo is taking over from José Manuel Prada, who retired on 30 June, after nine years as the head of the Corporate Security Department.
Carlos Martínez de Bujo is a career officer in the Army, specialising in communications. He has spent much of his career in units and agencies of the Ministry of Defence and the Directorate General of the Civil Guard. His jobs have included positions of responsibility in the Directorate General of Weapons and Matériel, head of the CIS Programme of the Military Emergencies Unit (EMU), and in the EMU, as commanding officer of his communications unit.
Carlos Martínez de Bujo received a Master’s in Procurement Management of Defence Systems from the Centro Universitario de la Defensa (Universidad de Zaragoza), and a Master’s in Information and Telecommunications Systems and Technology Management (INAP). During his career, he received four Military Merit Crosses with white badge, a Cross with white badge of the Order of Merit of the Civil Guard, a Cross, Encomienda, and Plaque of the Royal and Military Order of San Hermenegildo, and the National Defence Medal of the French Republic.
All this experience qualifies him for his new position as Corporate Security Director, a position in which he must guarantee the security of the nearly 4,000 people working in Sener, both in its network of offices in 18 countries, and in projects and sites all around the world. To help him in this endeavour, he will have the support of the entire team of professionals currently in the Sener Corporate Security Department, who are now under his command.
