What is ‘A challenge for science’?
A challenge for science is a project of the SENER Foundation and SENER that seeks to encourage scientific-technical vocations among young people by bringing them closer to the innovation challenges that a company like SENER faces every day and how engineering and technology improve people’s lives.
The project has the collaboration of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.
Some of the challenges that are posed in the schools are: promoting the circular economy of wood, improving health through engineering, reducing the carbon footprint, optimizing transportation and improving level crossings. Thus, the young participants can see first-hand how science, technology and engineering are at the service of people to improve their quality of life.
