Sener recognizes the technical excellence of its Chief Technical Engineers 2023-2025

18/10/2023

Recently, during the ‘V Sener Innovation Forum’, the engineering and technology group held the recognition ceremony for its Chief Technical Engineers or CTE. This position, awarded every two years by Sener since 2016, celebrates technical excellence in different areas of knowledge. Specifically, Sener has recognized 9 of its engineers as CTE (in a group made up of more than 3,000 highly qualified professionals on 5 continents) for their outstanding knowledge in their respective fields of activity: space mechanisms, railways, geotechnics and tunnels, acoustics , noise and vibrations, energy, chemical processes, installations and safety in tunnels, electronic engineering of electromechanical systems and control engineering.

The complete list of Sener’s CTE (2023-2025) is as follows:

During the event, José Julián Echevarría, general director of Aerospace and Defense, César Quevedo, general director of Mobility, and Ignacio Larrea, head of the Energy Technology Unit, were in charge of delivering said recognition to the nine CTE, as well as thank you for your valuable work for the benefit of the entire group, contributing to setting Sener’s technological roadmap.

The meeting point of the technological trends of the future

The fifth edition of the biannual monographic meeting on the future of  innovation of the group, the ‘V Sener Innovation Forum’, brought together more than 200 professionals and experts at the San Mamés stadium, in Bilbao, on October 9 and 10. The event included the participation of Estíbaliz Hernáez, Deputy Minister of Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation of the Basque Government, in charge of carrying out the opening ceremony.

The Forum has offered more than a dozen discussion panels on topics such as energy (for example, green hydrogen and offshore wind), autonomous navigation on unmanned platforms, connectivity in the current geopolitical context or digitalization ( more specifically, cognitive infrastructures, 5G and hyperconnectivity, data centers as strategic energy value or the application of disruptive technologies, such as quantum computing, cybersecurity and robotics). Likewise, one of the central axes of the event has been the transversality and synergy between these and other sectors and technologies.

The event was closed by Andrés Sendagorta, president of Sener, who stressed the relevance of innovation as an engine of growth and competitiveness for organizations and for the development of the people and talent that make them up.
