The Cebu-Cordova cable-stayed bridge (Philippines), in whose development Sener has participated, has received the V Agustín de Betancourt International Public Works Award, given annually by the Caminos Foundation, in collaboration with the College of Civil Engineers, Canals and Ports. On behalf of Sener, César Quevedo, general director of Mobility, received the award during a gala held at the Teatro Real in Madrid.

These prestigious awards recognize excellence in the discipline and its social contribution. This edition, whose celebration was attended by more than 750 people, included the participation of the Secretary of State for Transport and Sustainable Mobility, José Antonio Santano, and the Secretary of State for International Cooperation, Eva Granados, among other senior officials. of the Administration and the main entities, associations, and companies in the sector.

Sener has been awarded, along with Acciona and CFC, for its participation in the project. Specifically, Sener has participated as reference engineering in the detailed design and has provided technical assistance to the construction. This is a technically complex project, as it is an entire construction on the sea, in an area of high seismicity and strong winds. This work, which demonstrates Sener’s technical solvency, contributes to decongesting local traffic, for the benefit of the second most important economic and business centre in the Philippines.
