In 2025, the group delivered revenue of €933 million and EBITDA of €121,5 million, while its order backlog increased to €1.912 billion and investment in R&D reached €27.8 million.

Sener further strengthened its international footprint, with 88% of revenue generated outside its domestic market.

The Sener group reported revenue of €933 million in 2025, representing growth of 31.4% year on year, while EBITDA reached €121.5 million. The results reflect strong momentum across all the Group’s businesses, including Mobility (transport and infrastructure), Aerospace and Defence, Energy, and Quark, its specialist data centre design subsidiary.

Robust order intake and the award of new projects across all business areas increased the group’s order backlog to €1.912 billion, up 23.8% compared with the previous year. These results reinforce Sener’s confidence in the talent of its people, the continued expansion of its industrial capabilities, and its ability to develop highly innovative proprietary engineering and technology solutions.

Sener’s growth trajectory is supported by a workforce of 4,500 professionals, around 40% of whom are based in international offices outside Spain. International markets account for 88% of the Group’s revenue. Growth has been particularly strong in English-speaking markets—notably Canada, Australia and the United States—as well as in Central Europe, especially Germany.

Key market highlights in 2025

During 2025, Sener strengthened its business portfolio through the award of new contracts and the delivery of flagship projects across multiple markets.

In Aerospace and Defence, Sener has continued to make progress in highly demanding technology programmes. In 2025, a major milestone was achieved with the first-ever coronagraphic observation of the Sun’s corona through the creation of an artificial eclipse between the two satellites of the Proba-3 mission, led by Sener on behalf of the European Space Agency. The company also remains actively involved in major space programmes, including the ExoMars Rosalind Franklin rover, SpainSat NG and QKD LEO, which is developing a low-Earth-orbit quantum key distribution demonstrator. In Defence, Sener continues to contribute to several leading international missile programmes, providing industrial capabilities for systems including IRIS-T, METEOR, Taurus KEPD 350 and the Patriot missile system (PAC-2 and PAC-3), among others.

This position is further supported by the expansion of Sener’s industrial capabilities. Following the completion of facility extensions in Tres Cantos and Zamudio, the company will double the footprint dedicated to its Space and Defence activities, bringing total surface area to more than 40,000 square metres.

In Energy, Sener continues to expand its activity through projects focused on power generation, energy autonomy and decarbonisation. The company is involved in liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure and combined-cycle power plants designed to accommodate the future use of hydrogen. Key projects include German LNG, Germany’s first onshore LNG storage and regasification terminal, and Gate Terminal in the Netherlands. Sener has also continued to strengthen its presence in Northern Europe, where it is currently involved in five major EPC projects.

In Mobility, Sener continued to expand its international presence across a number of key markets, with Canada standing out as a strategic growth area. The company is involved in major urban transport projects, including the Scarborough Subway Extension. Elsewhere, it has strengthened its local footprint through offices in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Ottawa. In the Middle East, Sener is contributing to some of the region’s most significant transport infrastructure developments, including the Abu Qir Metro in Alexandria, the Saudi Landbridge project in Saudi Arabia, and the Abu Dhabi–Dubai high-speed rail connection in the United Arab Emirates. Sener also continues to advance its portfolio of proprietary, high-value solutions. These include Epigea, a system developed from its patented Hypogea retractable turf technology.

Through Quark, Sener has further strengthened its position in the global data centre market, a strategic sector underpinning the growth of artificial intelligence and critical digital infrastructure. The subsidiary has now surpassed one million square metres of IT white space designed, with more than 100 facilities designed worldwide and over 2 GW of IT capacity delivered. Quark has contributed to major international projects for clients including Equinix. Recent milestones include the opening of the MD5 data centre in Alcobendas, which provides more than 4,400 square metres of colocation space and has been designed to support mission-critical environments and high-density workloads associated with the rapid growth of artificial intelligence.

These results reflect the strength of Sener and the ability of our teams to tackle complex challenges through high-value technology solutions. As we celebrate our 70th anniversary, we continue to strengthen our international presence and contribute to some of the world’s most demanding projects across space, defence, energy, mobility and data centres. Our growth remains firmly rooted in our culture of innovation, excellence, passion, commitment and teamwork.
