Sener’s Energy Management System (EMS) and Respira, winner and finalist in the II El Periódico de la Energía Awards

Sener’s Energy Management System (EMS) and Respira have been, respectively, winner and finalist in the 2nd edition of the El Periódico de la Energía Awards, held this Thursday at the Rafael del Pino Auditorium in Madrid. More than a hundred guests attended the event. These awards recognize the best initiatives and projects of the year, as well as the work of companies, public administrations, and executives for their impact on the present and future of the energy sector.

Sener has been recognized in two of the fourteen categories contested. Specifically, the EMS has been the winner in the “Best Digitalization Initiative” category. The organizers highlight that the EMS “represents an innovative energy solution that allows a smart and comprehensive management of energy resources, maximizing efficiency and reducing operating costs. In addition, it guarantees maximum use of the facility’s resources while offering an integrated website with real-time supervision.”

Respira has been a finalist in the “Best Energy Efficiency Initiative” category, which was awarded to Red Eléctrica. Applying artificial intelligence, Respira seeks balance between complex variables such as temperature, humidity, energy consumption and air quality to predict the environmental and operating conditions of the facility, improving the well-being of users and reducing costs. Respira has outstanding success stories in suburban transport, large infrastructures and connected spaces, such as the Barcelona Metro (TMB).
