- The mind behind the project

What inspired you to start a career in the space sector?
The space sector is a complete fusion of many fields of science and engineering. It is diverse, multi-layered, and simultaneously about discovering the new and unknown. This combination of knowns and unknowns is definitely something that inspired me to pursue a career in this direction. Moreover, through working on space projects, I feel like I am contributing to making life on Earth easier and more advanced. I’ve always been a big fan of science fiction and working in the space sector feels a bit like living in the world of Star Wars. Could it get any better?
What made you interested in Sener?
Sener offers the opportunity to work on top-tier projects within the space sector. Collaborating with the biggest players in this industry on incredibly interesting missions is something that definitely drives me to take action. Furthermore, at Sener, I have the sense of learning new things, and I can gain knowledge from more experienced colleagues and expand my understanding of space engineering.
In which business area do you operate, and what do you do daily?
As a Project Manager, I ensure that projects are executed within the planned scope, time, and budget. Together with the team, we verify that the equipment and documentation delivered as part of the mission meet both technical and quality requirements. I have the privilege of working directly with the Sener team and clients, bridging these two environments in the pursuit of a common goal: creating space products.
I think versatility and flexibility, the ability to adapt and learn new things, are crucial.
What progress have you made since joining Sener? What are the most important projects you are currently working on?
Working at Sener has contributed to my development in many aspects: I have improved not only my organizational and management skills but also my technical skills. This is thanks to working on both purely engineering projects, such as the production of MGSE for the new generation of Galileo navigation satellites, and on projects of a more scientific nature, like the development of an extremely precise mechanism for the LISA mission, which aims to create a space-based gravitational wave detector. The complexity and variety of technologies we encounter daily, and the challenges that come with them, significantly help with professional growth.
What, in your opinion, distinguishes Sener from its competitors?
What sets Sener apart from the competition is undoubtedly its experience and “heritage” from the many projects the company has already completed. This translates into the knowledge and expertise that the company possesses. Added to this is continuous growth and the presence of ever-new, fascinating projects. Another very important aspect is the team, as working at Sener means the opportunity to work with the best specialists in the industry (not only) in our country. Additionally, there’s the contact and daily collaboration with the largest companies in the space sector or international space agencies.
What new challenges do you foresee in the coming years?
I’m not counting on a flight to space myself, but I hope to contribute to a mission that sends someone else into space! Either way, the nature of space projects is such that, whether a mission is manned or unmanned, their results serve us all living and functioning on Earth, which I consider a very valuable aspect. Upcoming projects are an opportunity for further development, both personally and within the company structure, so I hope to lead more projects that reach beyond our planet!
