Sener’s participation in the new Integrated Combat Training System (ITS-C) of the Spanish Air and Space Force, based on the SAETA II aircraft, adds to programmes such as SIRTAP, Eurodrone, IRIS-T, RAZOR and HYDEF, in which the company also develops their respective data links.
Sener’s involvement in the new Integrated Combat Training System (ITS-C) of the Spanish Air and Space Force, based on the SAETA II aircraft—where the company is responsible for the data links—strengthens its leading position in the development of these critical systems, which are essential to ensure secure connectivity and to provide advanced capabilities to unmanned aerial platforms and missile systems.
Data links enable the reliable exchange of mission data between the platform, ground stations and other assets, and constitute an essential capability both in advanced training scenarios and in multi-domain operations.
In this field, Sener has an internationally recognised centre of excellence in communications, from which it develops highly reliable solutions for the most demanding operational environments.
European specialist in critical multi-domain communications
Sener’s participation in the ITS-C system builds on a well-established track record in the field of data links and advanced communications systems, where the company is a leading partner in Europe. Its activities in this area cover manned and unmanned aerial platforms, missile systems and air defence programmes.
Currently, Sener is responsible for data links in programmes such as Eurodrone and SIRTAP, as well as in systems such as IRIS-T, SCRAB, RAZOR (within Sener’s SIROCO programme) and HYDEF, reinforcing its role as a key player in secure connectivity in complex operational environments.
Across all these programmes, the company provides in-house capabilities in the design, development, validation and support of critical data link systems, with a particular focus on spectrum management, communications reliability and integration into system-of-systems architectures.
