The award was presented during the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Ingeniería para la Cooperación / Lankidetzarako Ingeniaritza in San Sebastián.
The Sener Foundation has been recognised by the NGO Ingeniería para la Cooperación / Lankidetzarako Ingeniaritza (ICLI) during the organisation’s 30th anniversary celebrations. The award was collected by the director of the Sener Foundation, Rosana Madroñal, from the president of ICLI, Miguel López.
The event took place on 21 November at TECNUN – School of Engineering of the University of Navarra, in San Sebastián, and brought together various ICLI collaborators from Bizkaia, Araba and Gipuzkoa to celebrate three decades of commitment to development cooperation and engineering at the service of people.
The collaboration between the Sener Foundation, Sener and ICLI has been consolidated over the years through joint projects that reflect a shared vision of a more just and sustainable world. These include the project ‘Strengthening the socio-productive chain of granulated panela in the Sierra de Piura (Peru)’, carried out by volunteers from the Sener Foundation, as well as the donation of computer equipment and office supplies to support the initiatives that ICLI develops in different countries.
Rosana Madroñal, director of the Sener Foundation, said: ‘For the Sener Foundation, accompanying ICLI on this anniversary reaffirms our conviction that engineering and technology can change people’s lives and help build a fairer world. Together, we celebrate not only the achievements made, but also the challenges that inspire us to continue working.’
