Sener advances its decarbonisation plan by contracting 100% renewable energy for most of its offices in Spain

03/06/2025

The measure will cover more than 75% of the Group’s total electricity consumption and represent a breakthrough in its decarbonisation strategy.

In keeping with its commitment to sustainability and the fight against climate change, the Sener engineering and technology group began consuming 100% renewable energy with a guarantee of origin in most of its offices in Spain in April.

Thanks to this decision, Sener will cover more than 75% of its total energy consumption (based on estimated 2024 data) with electricity from renewable sources, which will significantly contribute to reducing its Scope 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and to shifting toward more efficient and environmentally friendly operations. Sener will also continue working to contract renewable energy for other group offices outside of Spain.

This milestone reinforces Sener’s commitment to a more sustainable energy model, in line with global climate goals and the growing expectations of its stakeholders. It is also part of a broader set of initiatives the company is driving to promote a real and effective green transition.

Sener will continue progressing on its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) roadmap, implementing actions in areas such as energy efficiency, sustainable mobility, waste management and social impact, all in an effort to build a more responsible future committed to sustainable development.
