We have recently introduced a new optional module for Autoplak, the No Caps SW module, which expands the system’s capabilities and provides laboratories with a more flexible solution for sample management. This new SW mode allows the use of uncapped tubes, facilitating integration with automated pre-analytical lines and optimizing laboratory workflow.
Until now, Autoplak operation required the use of capped tubes to ensure safe and standardized handling. With the addition of the No Caps SW module, the system can now process uncapped samples while maintaining all the quality, traceability, and safety standards that characterize the equipment. Laboratories must define the mode of use—either with or without caps—without mixing both within the instrument.
Workflow optimization and cost reduction
This new functionality is particularly beneficial for laboratories that receive samples already uncapped from the pre-analytical area. It allows tubes to be loaded directly into Autoplak without the need to recap or perform additional handling.
