SENER is awarded the Aixe Getxo! Prize in the category ‘Innovative Culture’17/05/2013 (Spain)
SENER, an international engineering and technology group, seized the winning prize in the category of Innovative Culture at the Aixe Getxo! Awards, given annually by the Council of Getxo (Biscay, Spain).
This is how this Basque organization recognizes SENER's continued investment in innovation, undertaken by the company even to the point of converting this asset into one of the cornerstones of its corporate strategy.
The Aixe Getxo! award was handed over to Itziar Urrutia, Manager of SENER Division in Bilbao, who expressed her gratitude for the recognition received and stressed her commitment to the town of Getxo, where the company has been present with an office since 1956.
This is not the first time that SENER is recognized for its continued work on Innovation. In 2008, the company won the Prince Felipe Award for Business Excellence in the category of Innovative Technology for Large Companies. In 2011, it was granted the first prize in the Innovation category at the renowned European Business Awards. That same year, the company won the U.S. CSP Today Award in the category of 'Engineering Firm of the Year'. Already in 2012, SENER’s founder and honorary president, Mr. Enrique de Sendagorta Aramburu, was awarded the National Prize for Lifetime Innovative Achievements.
