SENER and the SENER Foundation take part in the CODESPA Foundation meeting and awards ceremony

SENER has been part of CODESPA’s Business Observatory for Inclusive Growth since 2015 and Andrés Sendagorta has been in the Board of Trustees of the CODESPA Foundation since 2006.

The President of the SENER Group and President of the SENER Foundation, Andrés Sendagorta, the Director of the SENER Foundation, Rosana Madroñal, and the SENER Group’s Director of Communication & Marketing, Pilar García, attended the celebration of the XXI CODESPA Awards, which took place on Tuesday, February 1st at CaixaForum Madrid. The awards were presented by H.M. King Felipe VI as Honorary President of the CODESPA Foundation. SENER has been part of CODESPA’s Business Observatory for Inclusive Growth since 2015 and Andrés Sendagorta has been in the Board of Trustees of the CODESPA Foundation since 2006.

Before the awards ceremony, some partners of the Business Observatory for Inclusive Growth, among them SENER, had a brief meeting with the King. In his speech, H.M. the King said: «This morning we met with the CODESPA Board of Trustees, followed by a meeting with the partners of the Business Observatory for Inclusive Growth. And it is a pleasure to see once again the impact of your work, the effectiveness with which you achieve a direct and positive impact on the lives of so many people and their environment. Congratulations. I would also like to congratulate the companies in the Observatory because your participation in it shows your commitment to promoting inclusive and integrating growth. I am happy to know that more and more companies are joining forces for this important purpose at a time like the present.»

The winners of the XXI CODESPA Awards were Bancamía, an entity of the BBVA Microfinance Foundation; the Naturgy Foundation; Hanes Brands Inc; Kingo Energy; and journalists Rosa Martín Tristán and María López Escorial.

CODESPA is a Development Cooperation NGO (NGOD) with 35 years of experience. It is made up of a group of professionals and experts from different disciplines committed to the integral development (economic, social and human) of the poorest. Based on the confidence in the human capacity to build a more equitable and just world, its mission is to provide opportunities to people so that they can, through work, develop their capabilities and be protagonists of their own development. CODESPA is currently developing 66 projects in 11 countries, and from its foundation to date, CODESPA has managed around 800 projects in 33 countries in Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia, and has helped millions of people to improve their living conditions.
